A Little About Me....

My name is Yanique and I am a current Maple Ridge resident, after many years traveling and exploring the world!. I am a mother to seven, yes.. Seven beautiful children , 4 dogs, 2 cats and 3 special little horses. My family and I live on a beautiful farm overlooking Mount Baker and we wake up each morning feeling grateful and blessed to be alive and to have each other.

I have a sweet little studio on my farm where I do most of my shoots. The perfect place to come and be in nature, smell some flowers, and perhaps pet some horses !

My journey into photography started when my 6th child was born and I realized that I had no professional photos of my family and I decided that I would do them myself.!

As a artistic person, I immediately fell in love with the uniqueness and creative aspect of what I could do with my camera , and I haven't looked back.

Photographs are our attempt to pause time, to hold onto unique and irreplaceable moments before it slips away, the memory fades and all we are left is a cherished photograph. Photographs document our history, our bodies, family and lives. What a beautiful gift.

I am very passionate about what I do and my style is Bold, Emotional and Colorful while maintaining as much true to color as possible. Although i do love a sweet light and soft edit too here and there! I do not edit you, I will capture you in all your beauty as you are in that moment. So you can see yourself as others see you !
